Part 3 of Computer rendering

Let's continue what i have done last time. This time, i might skip some of steps but the skill is always same. I put black color on the area, that surrounds right side of wheels to make wheels a little convex.
Then we reduce depth of black to see some lines of wheels.

 Filling the inside of wheels.
Then we create another layer to paint the inside of wheels again, but this time, we only draw one side.
The purpose of this step is to add shadow in some parts of wheel, that we can not see completely due to perspective.

The rear is concave and the light comes from left, thus this part should be darker than other parts.

I use medium brush to cover the whole lights.

Using hard eraser to rub out surplus red color.
Modifying depth and extending some of red lines as rays.
The reason i put orange color there is to bring a metallic effect to the body.
Then we draw shadow at the bottom and cover other parts of body with orange color.
Notice that, the light is supposed to come from left, so it is necessary cover the front with few white color.

Part 2 of Computer Rendering

At this stage, the program i am going to use is Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, which has similar drawing functions and effects with Sketchbook designer.

 This is the original sketch.
The first step is to make a new layer, because all the things what i am doing will be only done in that new layer, and the original sketch will not change when i start modifying color in the new layer. Then, i use big size grey brush to cover the whole car.
Then, i use hard eraser to rub out the color i do no want and computer will help you to rub off color accurately.
 Keep erasing.
Once i finish erasing surplus color, i could modify the depth if the color is too dark.

The next step is just to repeat what i have done previously. The technique is the same thing.
You could zoom the graph to do more accurate works.
I put black color on the rear to make a shadow, because the light comes from the right side, the rear of car should be darker than other parts.
 Rub out surplus color.
Now i use very big size brush to put grey color on the car.Note that, the color of brush may not be too dark or it is hard to control the depth of color. The front is lighter, which indicates the light is from right side.
Put black color on the rear again  using a new layer.
I make the right rear wheel darker to contrast with the front. The skills are still same.
Using ellipse tool, i could thicken lines quickly without making mistakes. It is a very efficient way to draw accurate lines.

Adding details.(I am sorry about the incomplete pictures)
Then, i start add reflection on it.

Don't worry about if the color is too dark. You can modify it anytime.
Rubbing off the color you do not want to keep.
So far i will keep working on this rendering using mouse( I'll get tablet as soon as possible.)

Part 1 of Computer Rendering

For this part, i use sketchbook Designer 2012, which is a excellent drawing program for design, to create a computer rendering and I am going to use mouse instead of drawing tablet.
Like what i did before, the first step is to draw a shape of car, which does not need to be very accurate. At this step, I use "ellipse" tool to make the front and rear wheels and most of character lines is drawn by using "curve" tool, which is a very quick and easy way for drawing.

Then i repeat previous steps, using "ellipse" and "curve" tools, to add more details on it.
I also do some modification of lines, to make my computer drawing look better.
Then, i am adding the symmetric line. The basic tool is always the "curve" tool.
To built a three-dimensional effect, i modify the depth of color of some lines, so that, i know which part of car is concave, which area protrudes.
For air exhausts, i draw the a shape, that is similar to rhomsbus and then i use"duplicate curve" to copy it.
Moving the copy back to the original position, using different depth of color, then here is air exhaust we have.
The way of drawing another air exhaust is same. It is just the repetition of those steps i have just done.

This is the part 1 of computer rendering.
